Investing in Fractal should be a worry-free experience. We are committed to upholding ESG principles and complying with current and upcoming regulations. we are already taking the necessary steps to ensure compliance to the upcoming EU CSRD regulations, which will be effective from 2024.
ESG ꟷ a sustainability standard
ESG is a way to measure how sustainable a business is. The purpose is to make it easier for investors to find sustainable businesses to invest in.
ESG stands for Environmental, Social and Governance.
- Environmental concern areas such as climate, energy usage and water management.
- Social concern areas such as human rights, work environment, equality and diversity.
- Governance concern areas such as sustainability reporting, business models, strategies, legal compliance and whistle-blowing systems.
The EU directive CSRD
CSRD stands for Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and is a new directive by the European Union that sets the same highs standard for reporting and transparency for sustainability information as for financial information. The purpose is to make it easier for investors to find and invest in sustainable businesses, thereby enabling the EU to reach its goal of Net Zero emissions by 2025.
Reporting and tracking ESG
During 2023 we will collect baseline data for our ESG-related metrics to set measurable goals for 2024. As our company continues to grow, we will also allocate more resources and increase our focus on ESG, enabling us to expand into new areas while also enhancing existing ones.
Fractal will release an annual sustainability report that will incorporate all ESG-related metrics tracked. We will also communicate CSR and ESG information via our corporate group’s website: group.fractal-design.com/esg. ESG objectives and reporting metrics will be revised to comply with any future regional or global laws and regulations.
Governance excellence and feedback from stakeholders
The board and management team will prioritize governance in our ongoing agendas. We will also maintain active discussions and seek feedback from all stakeholders, including investors and consumers, to ensure we have a comprehensive approach to ESG that addresses the most important issues to our stakeholders.
